Guinness - Dolmen
We were approached by Dolmen Design & Manufacturing to produce a portfolio of promotional images for the new range of Guinness taps and bar mounts. The project featured different styles of taps to suit a multitude of bar spaces, as well as other small feature pieces, like a bar mounted USB hub. While most of the work revolved around the flagship Diageo brand, some other brand names were included, including Smithwicks, The Open Gate and Pimms.
By utilising different spaces during the shoot we managed to create an array of emotions surrounding the product. The feelings of wonder and magic conveyed by the tap are grounded by realistic surroundings, building a sense of excitement from the ordinary task of ordering a pint.
We understand that the craft beer market is different in many ways to traditional beer marketing and to capture that we went with a more appropriate setting for some of the other brands. The use of raw materials like hops and grain combined with the backdrop of Guinness’ own small batch brewery bar show off the close attention to detail that goes into these products.
As part of the portfolio, we also photographed some smaller accessory items. Some of these are new products that have yet to be seen in the market and we took a similar approach to shooting them as we did with the large taps, factoring in the reduced size. New lenses, new set ups and the same great look.
