Working with Drop was an opportunity to experiment with combining food photography and product photography. Our goal was to take something as simple, yet impactful as the Drop Scale and tell the story of the home cook. We used a marketing persona created by the company that laid out their target demographic and used that to come up with recipes they might like to create at home.
We worked with Drop again in promoting a partnership with popular kitchen accessory ‘Thermomix’. We once again relished the opportunity to work with food while also telling the story of a product that could change the way people interact with ingredients. One of the biggest challenges with this project was that the images had to work at two different aspect ratios as the application serves both phones and tablet computers. This created a unique challenge in composition and lighting.
